How to change a faucet aerator

For the the DIY video this week we’re doing a quick tip on how to change out a faucet aerator. This is a very simple process and usually doesn’t require any tools. You can pick up a low flow aerator for your faucet at just about any home improvement store for just a couple of bucks. In my home the aerator was a 2.2 gallon per minuet (GPM) where the low flow aerator was at a 1.0 GPM simply cutting water my water usage for that faucet by half.

If you have any questions on this project leave a comment or talk to me on Facebook and Twitter. For more suggestions on how to save money and energy today in your home take a look at our recommendation library on Hohm.
